$1,000 Grant Donated to The Period Project

The CBL State Savings Bank Foundation has given $1,000 to The Period Project to assist in facilitating better access to menstrual hygiene products to individuals in need within our community.

The Period Project receives grant from CBL state Savings Bank

The project has chapters in five states and is actively servicing local school districts with Greenville County being the largest district. Over 3,000 period packs have been distributed in Greenville County Schools since August 2023, and the need is increasing. The vision of The Period Project is “equal, affordable access to menstrual hygiene products for all.”

“Period poverty is real, and it takes a whole community working together to make a difference. Without the support of our community partners, like CBL State Savings Bank, the program would not be a success,” said Karen Dudley-Culbreath, executive director.

“CBL is dedicated to supporting organizations within the community who are meeting specific needs and helping to spread awareness locally. The Period Project is fulfilling a need within our community that many never consider, but it affects the lives of women and students daily,” said CBL’s CEO & President Jennifer T. Jones.

If you would like to donate items for the period packs, these items are being collected at 355 Woodruff Road in Greenville, SC. For more information, please visit www.periodproject.org.
