The Citizens Building and Loan (CBL) Charitable Foundation donated $7,500 to Greer Community Ministries (GCM).
GCM is a local, faith-based organization that provides food, clothing and social interaction with the philosophy that, “no elderly, home bound or disadvantaged person in the Greater Greer area will go hungry.” There are four programs that ensure they are working toward their mission: Meals on Wheels, Senior Dining, Food Pantry and Sharon’s Closet with over 85,000 hot meals prepared annually in Greer, SC.
“Greer Community Ministries is grateful to continually have CBL as a partner,” says Donny Kaufman, Executive Director for Greer Community Ministries. “It is these partnerships that allows our efforts to continue in an ever-growing community and encourages volunteers that have a heart for people.”
“The CBL Charitable Foundation has been a proud supporter of Greer Community Ministries for many years, and we have watched them navigate through change, growth and new demands while keeping a clear vision. This is a mission we are proud to support,” said CBL CEO & President Jennifer T. Jones.
Volunteers are a vital part of Greer Community Ministries. Anyone interested in learning more about getting involved at GCM can visit www.gcminc.org.
