CBL Foundation Donates $5,000 to Piedmont Women’s Center

The Citizens Building and Loan (CBL) Charitable Foundation has given $5,000 to Piedmont Women’s Center’s BrightCourse Program.

Piedmont Women’s Center provides reproductive health care to the upstate of South Carolina and surrounding areas. Their new BrightCourse Program offers women the opportunity for pregnancy education and to gain confidence in parenting through taking video courses.

Each course is taken with a designated client advocate that stays with them throughout the entire program. With over 100 available topics to choose from, these new mother’s can choose from topics on everything from pregnancy, to labor and delivery, to raising a new little one.

“We are so excited to have been awarded this grant from the CBL foundation. We are now able to encourage new moms to be part of this program and even offer anyone who completes 10 classes or more a free car seat or travel crib,” says Rachel Adams, Advancement Coordinator for Piedmont Women’s Center.

“CBL believes in family and community, and we know that Piedmont Women’s Center is focused on making sure no mom walks alone. The BrightCourse program is one part of the big picture, and we are glad that we can help in the foundational building of families in our community,” said CBL CEO & President Jennifer T. Jones.
